Will FedACH process ACH payments on the National Day of Mourning, January 9, 2025?
On Thursday, January 9, 2025, the United States will observe a national day of mourning to honor the late President Jimmy Carter. While this is not a federal holiday, it has raised questions about business and banking operations.
Hereβs what you need to know:
- Federal Offices: Most federal employees will have the day off, and federal offices will be closed.
- Banks and Financial Services: ACH and wire processing services, along with regular banking operations, will continue as normal.
- Federal Reserve Systems: Although Federal Reserve offices will close, their systems will remain operational, ensuring no disruption to financial transactions.
